"Tibetan Treasures" provides a view into the many fascinating aspects of Tibet and the life of its people. Photographs of the remote Tibetan landscape set the stage for a look at the daily life of this unique culture: examples of fascinating apparel, incredible jewelry and beautifully crafted furniture. The audience will also visit a Buddhist temple in Lhasa and see extraordinary works from the Museum’s galleries related to the Tibetan Buddhist religion, including the Tibetan Altar room, one of the jewels in the crown of the Newark Museum’s collection. Admission is free and all are welcome. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library.
