On Monday 5/9/2011 the community is invited by the College Women's Club of Cranford to a Free Dramatic Presentation on "Upstairs....Downstairs: Irish Americans". You will love the Victorian lady and ignore the Irish cook when you first meet them. By the time these women leave, you will heartily dislike the lady and appreciate the cook for her humor, endurance, and hard work. Christine Glazer and Maribeth Lisock of the Cranford Historical Society will provide an accurate portrayal of what the Irish faced while working in America in the 19th and early 20th centuries at this event.
