Local Author Ed Robinson To Discuss His New Book, "A Jersey Shore Angel"
Thursday, July 9, 2015, 7:30 p.m., Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016

Former Cranford mayor Ed Robinson will talk about his recently published mystery novel, A Jersey Shore Angel. Mr. Robinson will have copies of A Jersey Shore Angel available for purchase and for signing. Admission is free and all are welcome. A Cranford resident for many years, Mr. Robinson now lives in Sea Girt. A Jersey Shore Angel is his first book. During Hurricane Sandy, Mr. Robinson had no power for nearly two weeks and sat by candlelight. “They say everybody has a book in them and they are right,” Mr. Robinson said. “With no power in the house, there was nothing to do but write a book. A Jersey Shore Angel is a summer read, with a little spice in it.” The novel’s main character is Angel Barnacle. After a decorated career as a New York City detective, he returns to his roots at the Jersey Shore, and, despite two failed marriages, starts a private detective agency chasing down wayward spouses. “As a private detective,” Mr. Robinson noted, “Angel would never get involved romantically with a client, but he can’t resist one of them, a beautiful Broadway star. And, when she becomes a victim of Hurricane Sandy, Angel helps the police change the case’s status from accidental death to murder.” The program is sponsored by the Cranford Public Library.
