MAKE "SOMEDAY" TODAY BY STAYING ACTIVE AT THE WESTFIELD AREA Y

The Westfield Area Y’s winter session registration for members begins tonight at 6:00 pm for Gold and Silver members and at 7:30 am, Monday, December 15th for Program and Non-Members. The Winter Session runs from January 4th – February 28th.

New programs this session include: Cardio, Core & Strength Intervals and Kickbox Fit for adults and My Playroom, Super Hero Fit, Future Flyers and Beginner Dance for Children and Youth.

Programs for Special Health Groups this winter include: Aquatics for People with Disabilities; Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms; Arthritis Exercise Program; Project Healthy Bones and Special Population Personal Training. The Dragonfly Program for young adults with special needs includes Dragonfly Swim Lessons, Dragonfly Boxing/Striking and Dragonfly Yoga.

There is something for everyone this winter. Active Adults can come together and play bridge. Lunch and Learns such as “Fall Prevention” and “Nutrition Just for Adults” are great opportunities for adults to get together, learn and make new friends.

The Y continues to offer swim lessons and competitive swim teams and has revamped its youth sports program to provide children the opportunity to progress at their own pace within a sport. The Westfield Area Y offers a wide variety of youth and teen sports programs ranging from basketball, climbing, soccer, Pillo Polo, Tae Kwon Do, ballet, Flyers Track & Field, Zumba and Yoga.
