"Meet the Lenders" at NJSBDC at Kean University

Small-business owners and entrepreneurs! Meet one-on-one with the SBA's top lenders

UNION, N.J. – The New Jersey Small Business Development Center at Kean University, in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will present Meet the Lenders on Friday, May 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Kean’s University Center, Room 226, located at 1000 Morris Ave in Union, N.J. There is no fee to attend, but registration is required to sbdc@kean.edu or (908) 737-4220.

Small-business owners and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with some of the SBA’s top lenders to discuss the availability of SBA guaranteed loans by their institutions. Learn firsthand what lenders consider a winning loan proposal, how to increase one’s chances of getting a loan and how to get through the loan application process.

Attendees are encouraged to prepare questions in advance and bring copies of his/her Business Plan Executive Summary Form and a current credit report. The executive summary includes vital information about your business or project and allows lenders to make an informed expression of interest about each loan request.

In addition, representatives from the U.S. SBA and Kean’s SBDC will be on hand to arrange free, one-on-one counseling sessions to help small-business owners and entrepreneuers in the development of: business plans; marketing plans; financial statements; cash flow projections; loan applications, and packages.

The New Jersey Small Business Development Centers network is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission and Kean University.
