Trinity Episcopal Church,119 Forest Avenue, Cranford, New Jersey is holding a bake sale fundraiser for the Episcopal Relief & Development(ERD) “Maternal & Child Health” program on Sunday May 13, 2018 at 11:00AM. Globally, 2.6 million children die each year during the ‘neonatal’ period – in the first four weeks of life. In addition, over 80 women die every day from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. 99% of those deaths occur in developing countries. “The ERD Maternal & Child Health program saves lives by encouraging pregnant women to seek prenatal care, promoting nutrition for mother and child and ensuring that babies receive the recommended vaccinations,” said Reverend Andy Kruger, of Trinity Cranford. Trinity Cranford is raising money to help provide critical support, supplies and education to improve the quality of care for mothers and their children across the globe. Donations, made payable to “Episcopal Relief and Development”, can be mailed to Trinity Church, 119 Forest Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016 or dropped off at the church office. “Please help us support these vulnerable woman and infants,” said Father Andy.
