New Member to Vanguard Medical Group's Executive Staff

CRANFORD, N.J. — March 19, 2015 — Vanguard Medical Group with locations in Cranford, Lincoln Park, Montville, North Haledon, Oakland, and Verona, announces the addition of Brian W. Schroeder, JD, MPH, CMPE as Executive Director of Operations.

He lead’s Vanguard’s intrinsic and extrinsic growth initiatives, most notably the organization’s service line expansion, including Direct Primary Care.”

With more than 12 years of progressive management experience in nationally ranked health systems throughout New York and New Jersey, Brian comes to Vanguard from Barnabas Health Medical Group where he served as Regional Director of Physicians Practices at Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, both in Newark, N.J. Prior to that he was with the Mount Sinai Health System in New York where he held managerial roles in Administration and Finance. In addition he worked at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and the NYU Langone Medical Center.

Schroeder earned his Bachelor of Science from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY, and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in health policy and management from New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. He earned a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE). Schroeder is currently pursuing his American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) fellowship.
