PRESS RELEASE: Petition Signing Will Adress Builders Remedy Lawsuits

Two Township Committee candidates are planning to kick off a petition signing at the Post Office on Saturday.

Andis Kalnins and Lisa Adubato Nesi, candidates for Cranford Township Committee are planning to circulate a petition "addressing the impact of " on the township.

Kalnis and Nesi will be outside the Cranford Post Office Saturday morning from 9 to 11 a.m., to officially kick off the petition signing effort and talk with residents about the petition.

"The reason we decided on this course was because we see a real passion in the people of Cranford over what is an obvious problem in the system," Kalnis said. "They want to do something to be heard and they best way to do that is in numbers. The petition highlights some of the problems with the current way builder's remedy lawsuits are handled and asks for immediate action. "We hope that the attention of such an obviously misplaced development will spur action in Trenton and in the judiciary."
