WESTFIELD AREA Y BASKETBALL LEAGUES FOR BOYS AND GIRLS OF ALL AGES

The Westfield Area Y is proud to offer exciting Youth Basketball leagues this fall for boys and girls at the Robert and Virginia Bauer Branch, 422 East Broad Street and the Main Y Facility, 220 Clark Street in Westfield.

Basketball leagues for the “Rookie” player ages 4-5 and the “All Star” player ages 5-6 are offered this fall. Both leagues meet on Sunday and run from September 27th – November 15th. Practice is 25 minutes followed by 35 minutes of game play. Interested participants must register by September 3rd.

For athletes ages 10-14 interested in travel basketball for the November 2015-March 2016 season, tryouts are being held on September 26th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Main Y Gym, 220 Clark Street in Westfield. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate for the Y to keep.

If interested in volunteering to coach one of the Westfield Area Y leagues, free Volunteer Coach Clinics are being offered in early September to help with strategies to make you the best possible coach.

Registration is now open. There is limited availability so please register early. Registration forms are available on the Westfield Area Y website, http://www.westfieldynj.org/programs/sports/leaguesandclinics and at the Welcome Center.
