WESTFIELD AREA Y KINDERGARTEN CLASS LEARNS ABOUT SHADOWS ON GROUND HOG DAY

Children in Mrs. Hahn’s Kindergarten class at the Westfield Area Y’s Robert and Virginia Bauer Branch utilized Ground Hog Day for a lesson on shadows by making their very own ground hog and predicting whether or not he would see his shadow.

The Westfield Area Y offers full day kindergarten and half-day preschool early learning programs at the Bauer Branch. Programs boost youth development by offering a safe and healthy place in which to learn foundational skills, develop relationships and build self-reliance. All programs are led by experienced and caring staff, have a structured curriculum and focus on character development.

Registration for Westfield Area Y preschool and kindergarten programs is going on now. Tours can be scheduled by contacting Eileen Rooney, Westfield Area Y Director of Preschool and Kindergarten at (908) 233-2700 x423 or email erooney@westfieldynj.org.
