Westfield Area YMCA Hosts Free Health & Wellness, Camp And Child Care Open Houses

WESTFIELD AREA YMCA HOSTS FREE HEALTH & WELLNESS, CAMP AND CHILD CARE OPEN HOUSES

For the third year, YMCAs across New Jersey have come together to host statewide Open Houses, inviting individuals and families to visit the Y on January 7th to learn how to start making a better you.

The Westfield Area YMCA will hold events at all branches. At the Main facility, 220 Clark Street in Westfield, the community can try the Y and enjoy membership and personal training specials all day long at the Health & Wellness Open House. There will also be a Summer Day Camp Open House with an early bird registration special and a Kindergarten Wrap Around Open House for Fall 2017 from 9:00 am – 10:30 am. Interested participants can also take advantage of a complimentary Water Safety Event from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

The Robert and Virginia Bauer Family Branch located at 422 East Broad Street in Westfield will offer a free Adult Tae Kwon Do Intro Class from 8:30 am – 9:30 am and a free Youth/Teen Tae Kwon Do Intro Class from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. Those interested in learning about Child Care Programs at the Branch including Half-Day Preschool and Full-Day Kindergarten, can do so between 10:00 am – Noon.

The Garwood Family Center YMCA located at 500 East Street in Garwood is hosting an Open House from 9:00 am – 10:30 am. Participants can learn about the Child Care and Summer Day Camp programs offered there as well as see the new Dance Academy studio and meet the instructors and learn about the dance classes offered for ages 3-adult.

The Westfield Area YMCA helps individuals on their quest to achieve personal goals by providing programs and services that strengthen individuals and communities. Whether it’s becoming healthier, trying new activities, spending time with family, making new friends, or making a difference, the Y is where building a better you builds a better community.
