In commemoration of America's 250th the East Amwell Historical Society Museum & Gallery is happy to announce 2 special events during May at the Historic Clawson House. We hope you can join us! Be sure to mark your calendar and RSVP!

On Friday, May 29 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM — Grand Opening Night
The moment we’ve been waiting for has arrived. You are cordially invited to a special preview of our new exhibit honoring America’s 250th anniversary.
Our feature exhibition, Ringoes: Crossroad of the Revolution, uncovers the forgotten history behind this powerful story. Step inside the 1776 world where our small corner of New Jersey helped shape the fate of a nation — from militia riders, spies, the Sons of Liberty, taverns, and Patriot networks to the secret intelligence routes and the families who stood their ground on the Amwell ridges and throughout Hunterdon County.

On Sunday, May 31 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear Storyteller, Author, and Suffrage Historian Nancy Kennedy reveal the women who helped win the Revolution — and the extraordinary New Jersey Colony law (1776–1807) that allowed women and Black men to cast their ballots in political elections.

Please RSVP with the number of guests attending,
