Celebrating American Education Week: Parents Invited To Visit East Brunswick Schools

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — To celebrate American Education Week the East Brunswick School District has invited parents and guardians to visit their child's school on Nov. 17, Superintendent Victor Valeski said.

American Education Week is celebrated every year the week before Thanksgiving. Education Week has a theme, and the community celebrates public schools.

The theme for this year’s American Education Week in East Brunswick is “Reach. Educate. Inspire.”

The school district has scheduled visitation blocks to avoid disruptions. Here’s the schedule:

Elementary Schools: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Hammarskjold Upper Elementary School: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Churchill Junior High School: 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. or 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

East Brunswick High School: 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. or 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

“In order to minimize disruptions, we ask that you do not bring younger children with you and that you come only during the times designated and please, no photos. To make sure that there is space for everyone who wants to visit, please limit your stay in each classroom,” Valeski said.

Visitors will be asked to show identification and they will receive a visitor’s pass.

This year, American Education Week will be celebrated from Nov. 13-19.
