East Brunswick Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint, Man Arrested

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Shell gas station on Rt. 18 was robbed at gunpoint at 10 a.m. Friday morning, April 26, East Brunswick police report. The suspect, pictured above, lives in Sayreville and was arrested by Sayreville police Saturday morning, April 27.

The Shell gas station at 1010 Rt. 18 (near Hillsdale Road) was robbed at 8 a.m. Friday: Police say a man entered the gas station, indicated to the attendant that he was armed and stole an undetermined amount of money and the employee's cell phone.

East Brunswick police identified the suspect as Jack Hargrove, 39, of Sayreville, and issued a warrant for his arrest. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Sayreville police arrested Hargrove during the early morning hours on April 27. He was taken to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center.
