East Brunswick Schools Delays Return To In-Person Classes

The school district has delayed return to in-person classes by a week and is offering parents the option of hybrid learning.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick School District on Tuesday announced it is delaying a return to classrooms by a week.

The school district was originally scheduled to return Jan. 11, but will now return on Jan. 19 instead. School Superintendent Victor Valeski said the decision was made after “vetting our safe options.”

"This will be on a tiered schedule beginning with just our eight elementary schools and Hammarskjold Middle School, if it is safe to do so as we approach that date,” he said.
