EBHS's Grishmaa Chaudhary Raises Over $40,000 for EduCare Foundation, Empowering Underprivileged Children Through Education
In an awe-inspiring feat of dedication and leadership, Grishmaa Chaudhary, a student at East Brunswick High School, has emerged as a changemaker in her community and beyond. As a youth volunteer for the EduCare Foundation, Grishmaa’s relentless efforts have helped raise over $40,000 during the foundation’s Annual Gala on Sunday, December 15, 2024, held at Royal Albert's Palace in New Jersey making a profound impact on the lives of underprivileged children.
The EduCare Foundation, established in 1994, has a mission to empower disadvantaged children and communities through the transformative gift of education. With a vision of a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive, EduCare has positively impacted more than 30,000 lives through its programs, including two scholarship initiatives in the U.S. at East Orange High School, Carteret High School and nine impactful programs in India.
Grishmaa’s remarkable contributions stem from her four years of volunteer service with EduCare, during which she has played a pivotal role in raising funds and expanding the foundation’s reach.

Most notably, she was instrumental in bringing Mahabodhi Residential School in Ladakh, India onto EduCare’s platform. During a visit to India, Grishmaa witnessed the logistical and financial challenges faced by the school and took swift action. Her advocacy and fundraising efforts led to the establishment of a robotics and computer lab at the school, fostering digital learning initiatives and enabling the school to host its first Robokraft Robotics Competition.
“Grishmaa has been a beacon of hope for our students,” shared a spokesperson from Mahabodhi Residential School. “Her vision and commitment to education have opened doors for digital innovation that we could only dream of before.”

Grishmaa’s efforts have not only impacted students in Ladakh but also amplified the message of EduCare’s mission to a broader audience. At the recent gala, she gave an inspiring presentation on the power of education, galvanizing donors and supporters to contribute to the cause. Her leadership directly contributed to raising more than $40,000, funds that will go toward serving underprivileged children and advancing educational opportunities worldwide.
Beyond her work with EduCare, Grishmaa is also the COO of Inspire Curiosity, a platform to foster curiosity and innovation among students. She has integrated this initiative with EduCare’s programs, using it as a tool to inspire creativity and problem-solving skills among the children the foundation serves.
“Grishmaa embodies the spirit of giving back,” said an EduCare representative. “Her work has not only raised funds but also raised awareness about the importance of education as a tool to break the cycle of poverty. She’s an inspiration to us all.”
