Heroin, Cocaine Found In Rt. 18 Traffic Stops, Police Say

More than 30 glassine baggies of heroin were found in a Rt. 18 traffic stop, East Brunswick police reported in their latest blotter.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — More than 30 glassine baggies of heroin were found in an East Brunswick traffic stop on Rt. 18 in May, East Brunswick police reported in their latest blotter.

On May 12 at 1:20 a.m., police pulled a 2002 Chrysler into the parking lot of the Best Western on Rt. 18 for an unspecified violation. While speaking to the driver, Jerramie Domish, 39, of Collegeville, PA, the officer said he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A search of the car revealed Domish was in possession of THC oil, drug paraphernalia, 36 glassine bags of heroin and one vial of methamphetamine, police said. He was arrested, charged with drug possession and taken to the Middlesex County jail.

In an unrelated incident, a car stop on May 22 revealed marijuana and cocaine in the car, East Brunswick police said. Police said they saw the 2003 Chevrolet idling near the intersection of Myron Place and Gage Road, facing the opposite flow of traffic, at 11 p.m. on May 22. Police said they smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the car and noticed marijuana in a mason jar in the backseat. Ryan Barry, 30, of East Brunswick and Christopher Aikens, 20, of Piscataway were found to be in possession of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police said.

For the month of May, there were 1,475 police reports generated in East Brunswick, 314 medical calls made, 191 motor vehicle accidents, 101 total arrests and 22 DWI arrests, according to police.
