NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - This burglary suspect used the snowstorm as an opportunity to go into several unlocked cars Tuesday morning, North Brunswick police say.
In the early morning hours Tuesday, a resident of Dallas Road saw an unfamiliar man standing near his neighbor's car and called police. When police arrived — in the height of the blizzard — the subject ran, with the officer giving chase through the snow. The subject was eventually captured on Sherman Road.
He was found to be in possession of many stolen items, apparently taken during multiple car burglaries Tuesday morning, police said. Many of the stolen goods have been identified and were returned to their rightful owners, but some remain unclaimed. The car burglaries occurred throughout the area, including Wood Avenue, Stockton Drive, and Rt. 130, North Brunswick police said. It appears all items were removed from unlocked vehicles.
