Retail Stores Eye Summerhill Square
Restaurants, fashion and more slated to move in to new center.
The new Summerhill Square shopping mall on Route 18 is already being eyed by several retailers.
The approximately 56,000-square-foot center was approved in 2010 and is expected to be home to 11 tenants.
According to William A. Lenaz, senior vice president of R.J. Brunelli & Co. Inc. in Old Bridge, Pier 1 Imports, Five Below, Ulta (a cosmetics store) and Muscle Maker Grill have signed letters of intent to lease space in the building. David’s Bridal and Annie Sez have both signed leases, with possibly opening within the month and moving from its current location on Route 18. In addition, Torrid, a fashion store, and Panera Bread are both negotiating space in the center.

According to Lenaz , a section on the other end of the parking lot closer to Route 18 could be home to a Chipotle, which has signed a letter of intent, and Cups Yogurt and Panda Express, which are still in the negotiating stage.

Lenaz said there is still room in the center for a larger retail outlet.
“We are almost full,” he said. We’re delivering 11 tenants and have room for one other large tenant.”
