Volunteer Applications now being Accepted by YMCA

Download an Application at www.raritanvalleyymca.org, then call for an interview

We welcome groups, adults, and teens to consider the YMCA as a place to donate your time and talents. Volunteers are vital to the YMCA. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to meet the needs of the children, families, and adults who live in the 13 communities we serve in the greater East Brunswick area.

Professionals and caring citizens are sought for board committees: Finance, Leadership (HR), Program, and Building Committees are stepping stones to board positions. Teens and college students can find rewarding learning experiences that prepare them for life as well as careers. Assisting with programs, and helping as swim aides, sports instructors, caregivers, and special events is an awesome way to learn and grow. Adults can lend their professional expertise in areas such as IT, legal, human resources, and maintenance of facilities and grounds. We have a multitude of projects we are looking to complete: enhancing our vegetable gardens for child learning, updating our conference room to be interactive for virtual meetings with video and telephone capabilities, making physical upgrades to our facility, setting up financial plans for the YMCA, and fundraising. Another goal is to develop a pool committee of people with interest and talents to share in turning a conceptual plan into a reality at the Tices Lane YMCA.

Building your resume your with volunteer work is another benefit. Self fulfillment also comes from volunteer work. Helping others helps you be a better person too.
