OVERVIEW:

The Garden of Dreams Talent Show is an annual event where children from various Garden of Dreams partner organizations are presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall.  For one memorable evening in front of their family and friends, the children, ages 5-18, perform with emotion and passion, forgetting their problems and celebrating their unique voices and talent.  The talent show and multiple rehearsals leading up to the big night attract many notable guests as mentors.  In past years, the children have been fortunate enough to work alongside the talents of celebrities including Swizz Beatz, Miguel, Michelle Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Kate Upton, Chloe Sevigny, Victor Cruz, Billy Crudup, Seth Meyers, Adam Horovitz and Mike D of the Beastie Boys, Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC, Mark Hoppus of Blink 182, Jane Krakowski, New York Knicks players and the Rockettes.

Garden of Dreams is a non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of The Madison Square Garden Company, including the New York Knicks, Rangers, Liberty, MSG Media, MSG Entertainment and Fuse to make dreams come true for kids facing obstacles. Garden of Dreams strives to be heroic, inspirational and unforgettable – all attributes of the children the Foundation has had the privilege to meet over the course of its history.  Partnering with a diverse collection of outstanding children’s related organizations – from hospitals, to foster organizations, to homeless shelters and “wish” organizations – the Garden of Dreams Foundation has a singular goal each and every day: to bring joy and happiness to children facing devastating problems, whether they relate to illness, homelessness, poverty, foster care issues or tragedy.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation does what no other charity in the world can do: it uses the power of MSG’s personalities and properties to create unforgettable programs that enhance the lives of kids and their families. The Madison Square Garden Company has worked tirelessly to help fulfill Garden of Dreams’ mission to brighten the lives of children who are facing life challenges. Because of these efforts, which often involve unprecedented access to celebrities, events and venues, Garden of Dreams has been able to impact more than 225,000 children and their families since its inception in 2006.
