The nonprofit Adult School of the Chathams, Madison, and Florham Park has been providing quality continuing education for 75 years. The occasion will be celebrated at a complimentary reception on Saturday, May 4th from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at the Madison Ambulance Corp facility at 29 Prospect Street in Madison. Members of the public are invited to attend and are asked to RSVP by emailing tasinfo@theadultschool.org or by calling 973-443-9222.
The event will be highlighted by awards for special instructors and classes. Several local officials will make remarks. There will be a brief video tour about the history of the school. Refreshments, beer, wine, and snacks will be served. Parking will be in the municipal train lot next to the ambulance building.
The Adult School was one of the first independent, nonprofit community education organizations founded in the State of New Jersey in 1937. The school strives to meet the needs of the community it serves and is one of the few lifelong learning programs in New Jersey that receives no overnment funding. All costs are financed by tuition fees and donations. Students of any race, nationality and ethnic origin are welcome. There is no residence requirement.
