Morris County Attorney Edward F. Broderick, Jr. Joins Wilson Elser

National law firm Wilson Elser is pleased to announce that Edward F. Broderick Jr., a well-known figure in the Morris County, New Jersey legal community, has joined the firm’s New Jersey office as of counsel.

An attorney for more than 50 years, Mr. Broderick has transitioned his practice, which focuses on significant personal injury and wrongful death actions, employment law, and civil rights and EEOC litigation on behalf of key corporate clients and nonprofit organizations, from his former firm, Broderick, Newman & Grather, P.C. to Wilson Elser.

“We are honored to have Ed join the Wilson Elser family,” shared Carolyn O’Connor, regional managing partner of the Wilson Elser’s New Jersey office. “A native of Morristown, NJ, Ed was raised in the legal community here. He is the son of a former Superior Court Judge, Edward F. Broderick, Sr and a founding partner of Broderick, Newman & Grather, P.C., which historically represented clients in many high-profile cases throughout the county. He offers a treasure trove of experience and counsel to our clients and attorneys in New Jersey and firmwide.”

Before entering the private practice of law, Mr. Broderick served for three years in the U.S. Air Force, completing one year of flight training before joining the Judge Advocate General’s office. Upon leaving active duty, he joined the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a colonel in 1987.

Mr. Broderick is an elected fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a sustaining member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, a former member of the Morris County District X Ethics Committee and a member of the Supreme Court’s Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law. He has been certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey since 1982.
A “double Domer,” Mr. Broderick earned his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts (1955), and his Juris Doctor degree (1069) from Notre Dame.
