A Florham Park man who was slated to run in the Boston Marathon Monday told his Facebook friends that he was safe Monday afternoon.
"I am ok and I really hope everyone is ok, this is just not right, thoughts with everyone," Michael Wardian, a 39-year-old Florham Park man posted on his Facebook page.
At least three people were killed and 23 injured after a duo of explosions went off near the finish line of the famous annual race. More than 500 participating runners were from New Jersey.

Also from the area listed as a participant in the race was Karen Verderame, 46, of East Hanover. A call to Verderame's home for comment was not immediately returned.
