Growing in the Garden – May Programs – "Lots and Lots of Lady Bugs"

This May Macculloch Hall Historical Museum continues to present its hands-on program for preschool-age children.  “Growing in the Garden” meets twice a month, to visit the garden at Macculloch Hall and explore environmental topics through a story, walk in the garden and art projects.

On Tuesday May 7, join us for “Lots and Lots of Lady Bugs”.  Explore the garden in search of ladybugs.  After children learn more about this friendly garden helper, they will paint their own ladybug stone sculpture to use at home, or in their home garden, to keep the “bad” bugs away.

The “Growing in the Garden” programs take place from 1:15pm – 2pm. There are a limited number of spaces, pre- registration is required.  The cost of the program is $8 per (child and caregiver) for Museum members and $12 per pair for non-members. Macculloch Hall Historical Museum preserves the history of the Macculloch-Miller families, the Morris area community, and the legacy of its founder W. Parsons Todd through its historic site, collections, exhibits, and educational and cultural programs. The Museum is open for house and exhibit tours on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. The last tour leaves at 3pm. Adults $8; Seniors & Students $6; Children 6 – 12 $4.
