14 Edison Cops Ride To Washington D.C In Police Unity Tour

Officers undertake the bike ride to raise awareness of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

EDISON, NJ – Fourteen police officers from Edison Police Department joined the nationwide Police Unity Tour.

The tour is an annual event, where law enforcement officers from all over the country ride their bikes to Washington D.C. to raise awareness of law enforcement officers who fell in the line of dury.

The NJ leg of the tour started in Franklin Township, Somerset County and will end at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in D.C.

“This year many members of law enforcement throughout New Jersey will particularly ride for Deptford Police Officer Robert Shisler, a hero who died in the line of duty this past Sunday,” Edison Police said on Facebook.

“We commend our Police Officers for representing us and wish everyone participating a very safe ride.”

The Police Unity Tour also raises funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.
