Edison Program Helps Over 400 Seniors, Disabled Residents With Home Repairs
The Fix-It program was reinstated last year by the township and helps seniors and disabled residents make essential home repairs.

EDISON, NJ – Since Edison reinstated the Fix-It program, more than 400 senior homes have been repaired, the Township said.
The Fix-It program was reinstated by Mayor Sam Joshi in 2022 and is available to residents over 65 and those with disabilities who may need help with tasks around the house such as changing a lightbulb, installing smoke alarms or assembling furniture.
“We have a responsibility to our seniors and disabled residents,” Joshi said in a statement. “Seeing the number of residents we have served through this program over the past few months alone only underscores how critical it was that we brought it back.”
