Deborah Goodman Davis, author of Speeding Down The Spiral: An Artful Adventure (A Life In Print Publishing) will be doing a reading and signing of her newly released children’s book for young readers and their parents at One River School’s upcoming open house on Sunday, March 17.
Speeding Down The Spiral, which is a top-rated reader selection on Amazon.com, tells the tale of two young children who visit the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City with their father. After dad gets distracted by an e-mail, the kids have a rollicking adventure down the museum’s winding staircase as they interact with famous paintings and sculptures by the artists Bourgeois, Brancusi, Cézanne, Chagall, Giacometti, Gonzalez-Torres, Kandinsky, Lichtenstein, Miró, Picasso, and Warhol.
“Deborah brings some of the Guggenheim’s finest works to life, and it’s a great way to introduce kids to the fun and beauty of art museums,” says Matt Ross, founder of One River. “We’re thrilled to have her as a guest and we’re looking forward to meeting the fans of her book.”
