One River School of Art & Design Launches 2013 Summer Camp Programs

One River School of Art and Design is accepting enrollments for its art and digital design summer camp programs, which will run from June through August 2013.

“The demand in northern New Jersey for creative camps that blend learning with fun, social experiences is huge, and we’re thrilled to meet this need,” says Matt Ross, founder of One River.  “Since we launched One River last fall, we’ve developed a leadership position in the art and design education space, so it’s a natural extension for us to open our doors to summer campers.”

One River’s summer camps will feature over 60 curriculum options, including week-long programs for kids grade K-2 (including Crazy Collages, Mask Making, and Self-Portraiture); grade 3-5 (including Cartooning, Street Art Painting, and Intro to 3-D); and teens (including art classes such as Old Master Drawing, Musically Inspired Painting, and Anime Inspired Art; and digital classes such as Graphic Design, Fashion Design, and Digital Animation).

Also available will be week-long College Prep Portfolio Development Camps for high school students who seek professional guidance prior to sending in their college applications.

“College-bound high school students need innovative tools when applying to America’s top art schools,” explains Ross.  “Our College Prep Portfolio Development Camp will be the first in a series of educational solutions that will give them the competitive edge they need in order to make a memorable and positive impression among admissions officers.”

Along with One River’s camps for young artists, adults will also have a number of week-long summer programs to choose from, including iPad Painting, Intro to Photoshop, Intro to Illustrator, and Digital Photography.

One River’s younger campers can choose between half day or whole day options when creating their customized programs.
