The “Two River” exhibition is an annual survey of contemporary artists who best represent current trends taking place in Brooklyn, two rivers from New Jersey.
Gonzalez has selected works by a mix of early, mid, and seasoned career artists to present in “Two River 2014”, including Andrea Bergart, Austin Eddy, EJ Hauser, Mary Heilmann, Jill Levine, Mike Olin, Sheryl Oppenheim, Esther Ruiz, and Michelle Segre.“The artists in this year’s ‘Two River’ show are all pushing the boundaries of their respective disciplines,” says Gonzales.
“While playfulness and creativity were the only criteria for my choices, a story exists. Paint, light, wood, fabric, and plaster - used in multiple ways - tell the story, and offer an invitation to looking and seeing.”Gonzales is a fixture in today’s art scene, having curated and shown her work in locations around the world over the last decade.
