Cosmos Club News

The Cosmos Club of Fair Lawn is proud to announce the winner of this year's Sal Rubino Scholarship Award for Literature. The recipient was Rachel Friedman. Stuart Pace, secretary of the men's club, presented the check to Rachel at the Fair Lawn High School Senior Awards Assembly on June 11th.

The Cosmos Club of Fair Lawn participated in the Radburn Street Fair on  June 10, providing for purchase  Italian  meatball sandwiches. All proceeds from the street fair will be donated to  the Fair Lawn Food Pantry. The club would like to thank Katherine Squillante,  Ladies Auxiliary President and Anna Dunn of the Cosmos Ladies Auxiliary for their tremendous effort at the event. The Men's club was represented by Joe Marchese, Joe Mazzone, Joe Montanero, John Battista, Mike Wisnovsky, Tony Giovanniello, Rick Iorlano, Joe Neary, John Arena, Joe D'Aloisio, Ed Salvi, Jim Conroy and Stuart Pace.

The Cosmos Club of Fair Lawn recently donated money to the Fair Lawn ADA Committee to help defray the cost of a DJ for its upcoming dances.

The Cosmos Club is an Italian-American Cultural, Social and Civic Organization that has been in Fair Lawn since the early 1950s. Men of Italian descent are welcome to join the group Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at the club for an introductory dinner and can apply for membership by calling Stuart Pace at 201-703-0370. The club is located at 33-02 Morlot Ave.
