Senators Lautenberg and Menendez intend to increase the H1B visa allotments.

I understand that you get large campaign contributions from companies that want to hire H1B labor to lower their programming, engineering and science costs.  And I understand that these campaign contributions allow you to get elected and make a living.

And that you intend to increase the H1B visa allotments to thank these companies.

Unfortunately, you are acting against the interest of all programmers, engineers and scientists already in the US.

Becoming a programmer used to be a secure way to make a reasonable amount of money.  But if you see a US programmer nowadays it is likely he is unemployed or changed his career.  Making money as a scientist is basically impossible.  There are still a few engineers around.

If you go to college campuses, chances are that few want to be programmers, engineers or scientists anymore - the students know what is going on.
