Taxes - what deductions affect AMT

AMT = Alternative Minimum Tax.  Works like this:

1.  lots of deductions are removed, resulting in higher taxable income.

2.  that income is taxed at 26% or 28%

3.  compare that result to the regular tax return

4.  pay the higher amount.

See attached list of what deductions are taken away.
