Employee Charged With Stealing $20,000 From Fair Lawn Business
Alix Elie, 56, allegedly wrote unauthorized checks and conducting unauthorized transactions online.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A borough man was charged with theft after police discovered $20,000 was missing from a Fair Lawn business earlier this month.
Detective Paul Donohue investigated a report that a Horizon Products employee was writing unauthorized checks and making unauthorized payments online through PayPal, said Sgt. Brian Metzler.
About $20,000 was missing, Metzler said.

As a result of Donohue's investigation, Alix Elie, 56, was arrested at his residence, police said. Elie also has arrest warrants out of Fair Lawn totaling $840.
Elie was charged with two counts each of theft and forgery; he was released after posting bail, Metzler said
