Local E-Waste Pioneer Donates Laptops to Veterans
AnythingIT, with offices on Zink Place, is teaming up with Work Vessels for Veterans to provide returning veterans with the tools they need to succeed in the civilian world.
Fair Lawn-based electronics recycler and E-waste handler, , in conjunction with Verizon, is donating 33 laptops to returning military veterans through the volunteer organization Work Vessels for Veterans (WVFV).
Work Vessels for Veterans, started in 2008 with the gift of a fishing boat for a returning Iraq veteran, exists to assist veterans by providing them with whatever start-up tools they need in their return to civilian careers or educational pursuits.
The organization’s co-founder, Dave Mason, a former singer-songwriter and guitarist for the English rock band Traffic, presented one of the donated laptops to Iraq War veteran Sgt. Jeffrey Diana, of New Milford, Thursday morning at the WVFV offices, located at the AnythingIT building on Zink Place in Fair Lawn.

AnythingIT, where recruiting and hiring veterans has been a priority for the last couple years, partners with WVFV in the hiring process.
