Man Killed In Collision With Truck Driven By Fair Lawn Teen: Report

A Fair Lawn teenager driving a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle on River Road Friday, killing a 48-year-old man, police said.

The pickup was making a left turn from River Road northbound at 3:15 p.m. Friday to Berdan Avenue and the motorcycle was traveling south on River Road, The Record reported.

Sameh Elgendy, the motorcyclist, was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson where he was pronounced dead a brief time later, Fair Lawn police told the newspaper.

The identity of the teenager driver was not disclosed because of he is a juvenile, the report states. Authorities are investigating the accident and no summonses have been issued “at this time,” police said.
