Man Severs Fingers Inside Pasta Machine, Fair Lawn Police Say
BREAKING: The man's index and middle fingers were severed at the joint, authorities say.
FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A man severed two fingers in a pasta machine at a borough business Thursday morning, police said.
Three police officers responded to A. Zerega's Sons on Broadway shortly after 11 a.m. on a report of an employee who severed two fingers, said Sgt. Brian Metzler.
The 58-year-old man got his right hand caught in a pasta machine and his index and middle fingers were cut off at the joint, Metzler said.

The man found the fingers and was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, Metzler said.
