Sunrise Rotary Donates Handicap-Accessible Swing For Memorial Playground
The Rotary Club, the ADA Committee and the borough's Recreation Department worked in collaboration to provide an accessible swing at Memorial Park playground for special needs individuals.
As part of its continuing mission to provide barrier-free playground equipment to Fair Lawn parks, the Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary donated a blue handicap-accessible swing to the playground Tuesday morning.
Its base was installed Friday in the playground's swing line and left to settle over the weekend. The swing itself was hung Monday.
The Sunrise Rotary, whose current president Anthony Villano serves as a liasion between the , the Rotary and the town's , also donated an accessible swing to the playground last year.

The ADA Committee requested a swing for Memorial Park this year because of the playground's frequent use by families and its proximity to , which has a special needs program.
Villano said the Rotary's next big push will be assisting with the , as proposed by the ADA Committee.
