UPDATE: Men Charged With Sexually Assaulting Fair Lawn Woman During Burglary: Prosecutor

The woman was sexually assaulted with a weapon, authorities said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Three men were charged in connection with burglarizing a borough woman's home and her subsequent sexual assault Sunday, Gurbir S. Grewal, Bergen County's Acting Prosecutor, said in a news release.

Eugeny Cango, 21, and Daniel Amador, 19, were charged with aggravated sexual assault with a weapon and burglary with a weapon, Grewal said. Another man, Angel Luis Vega, 19, was charged with burglary.

At 3:13 a.m. Sunday, the Fair Lawn Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting an unknown male as a residence, the prosecutor said. Fair Lawn police responded and found Cango, Amador, and Vega at the residence; they were taken to the police department, Grewal said.

The victim reported that three men broke into her home and two of them sexually assaulted her, Grewal said.

Grewal's office of notified and a joint investigation with Fair Lawn police began.

As a result of the investigation, Cango, Amador, and Vega were charged. In addition to the aforementioned counts, Cango and Amador were charged with aggravated sexual assault during the commission of a burglary, aggravated sexual assault with a co-defendant, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Vega was charged with burglary. All three men live in Newark.

Superior Court Judge Ronny Siegal set Cango and Amador's bail at $525,000 each with no 10 percent option. They were remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.

Vega was released on a summons.

The men are scheduled to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court Oct. 7 at 8:30 a.m.
