Saddle Brook Woman Charged With Witness Tampering
Breaking: 2 sexual assault victims were being coerced to recant allegations they previously made to authorities, authorities said.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — A borough woman was charged with witness tampering following a police investigation, authorities announced.
Kristen Aquino, 40, was charged after the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information Monday that two sexual assault victims were being coerced to recant allegations they previously made to law enforcement personnel, said Gurbir S. Grewal, Bergen County prosecutor.
The prosecutor's office Special Victims Unit and the Saddle Brook Police Department investigated and interviewed several people regarding possible witness tampering, said Gerwal.

Aquino was arrested and charged with third-degree witness tampering, the prosecutor said. She was processed and released pending a first appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court Jan. 31.
