Abandoned Bear Cub Along I-78 Rescued By NJ State Troopers
The bear cub was spotted alone in a roadside ditch on I-78 East on Wednesday.

UNION, NJ — An abandoned bear cub found along Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County was rescued by New Jersey State Troopers on Wednesday.
On April 1, at around 1:40 p.m., a bear cub was spotted alone in a roadside ditch on I-78 East at milepost 12.2 in Union Township, said New Jersey State Police.
Troopers from Troop "B" Perryville Station found the small cub alone and in need of help.

The cub was safely secured, taken to the police barracks, and later given to the Department of Environmental Protection for proper care.
"Thanks to the swift response of the troopers, the cub is now safe and receiving the attention he needs," said police.
