Free Summer Concerts At Flemington's Deer Path Park Include Hunterdon Symphony, Fireworks
A Kenny Chesney-to-Luke Bryan country tribute and a patriotic July 8 celebration highlight the upcoming schedule.
FLEMINGTON, NJ — Hunterdon County's free summer concert series at Deer Path Park returns this month with two upcoming shows, including a country music tribute and a patriotic celebration featuring the Hunterdon Symphony and fireworks.
All concerts begin at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic dinner. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, pets must be kept on a leash, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
In the event of rain, concerts may be moved indoors to Hunterdon Central High School, 84 Route 31, Flemington, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and no food or drink permitted in the auditorium.

Weather decisions will be made the afternoon of each concert and can be confirmed at co.hunterdon.nj.us, on social media, or by calling the park office after 4:30 p.m. at (908) 782-7275.

- June 25 — CountryLIVE: A four-in-one tribute to Kenny Chesney, Shania Twain, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan, performing their hits together in one show. More information at ultraartists.com/country-live.
- July 8 — America's 250th Celebration with the Hunterdon Symphony: The hometown orchestra will perform patriotic and made-in-America pieces by Sousa, Horner, Bernstein, Copland and others, along with a possible movement from "Seven Stories of Old Hunterdon" by local composer Lawrence Kursar. A reading of the Declaration of Independence will precede the performance, and the night will conclude with what organizers are billing as the biggest fireworks display the county has ever seen.
