Man, Dog Shot By Hunter With Bird Pellets In NJ: Police
Michael Griffis, 47, of Hamilton, Mercer County, was charged with the negligent use of a firearm and causing damage of property.
KINGWOOD, NJ — A hunter was charged after authorities say he shot a man and his dog with birdshot pellets on Monday.
Michael Griffis, 47, of Hamilton, was charged with the negligent use of a firearm and causing damage of property by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Fish & Wildlife Conservation Police.
The shooting happened on Monday in Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County.

Gerald Quarino, 70, of Columbus, Burlington County, was shot in the leg with the birdshot pellets and had non-life-threatening injuries.
Quarino's dog was also hit by pellets.

Charges against Griffis were filed with the Kingwood Municipal Court.
