• Girls Soccer: Hunterdon Central Beats Pope John, 4-0, in H/W/S Tournament (TAPinto.net) — Hunterdon Central's girls soccer team, based in Flemington, snapped a five-game skid with a 4-0 home win over Pope John to advance in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament. Strong set pieces, four different scorers, and a shutout from goalkeeper Kailey McMahon now send the Red Devils into a quarterfinal matchup against Newton on Oct. 13.
   

• Man visiting every U.S. law enforcement agency makes Hunterdon County stop No. 542 (wrnjradio.com) — A traveler aiming to visit every law enforcement agency in the country made a special stop at the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Office in Flemington, where he was welcomed by Sheriff Fred Brown and his team. Alex Mann, who is on the autism spectrum, received a uniform shirt, toured patrol vehicles, and spent the morning learning how local officers serve the community.
