90-Minute Delay On GWB To New York City Following Accidents
The accidents occurred within 5 minutes of each other on the bridge's upper level, police said.
FORT LEE, NJ — There is a 90-minute delay on the upper east bound level of the George Washington Bridge due to two separate motor vehicle accidents, the Port Authority Police reported Monday.
The accidents occurred at about 1:45 p.m., within five minutes of each other, said Joe Pentangelo, a Port Authority Police spokesman. Two lanes on the upper level were closed for about 45 minutes, Pentangelo said. They reopened at about 2:30 p.m.
There was a 60-minute delay on the bridge heading into New York City this morning due to a crash on the Major Deegan Expressway, police said.
