20 Injured After 2 NJ Buses Collide In Lincoln Tunnel
The accident was in the center tube, Port Authority says.

Twenty people were injured Monday morning when two NJ Transit buses collided in the center tube of the Lincoln Tunnel, authorities confirmed.
Thirteen people were transported to the hospital for treatment, said Port Authority spokesman Neal Buccino. There were no fatalities.
A 114 bus from Plainfield with 46 passengers rear-ended a 190 bus from Paterson with 57 people; the 190 bus was heading to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, said Jim Smith, a NJ Transit spokesman.

The buses collided in the center tube at 7:34 a.m., the Port Authority reported. The center tube was reopened at about 8:50 a.m., Buccino said. Delays of one to two hours were reported in the tube after the accident had been cleared.
Port Authority reported delays of more than 90 minutes through the New York-bound side of the tunnel in the center tube, authorities said.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey sent out three alerts on the delay Monday morning, advising commuters that, “The Lincoln Tunnel to New York is experiencing a delay of 90 minutes due to an accident in the center tube."

An alert a few minutes later said that the 90-minute delay was affecting the exclusive bus lane through the tunnel as well.
