Drunk Woman Rescued From Train Tracks: Police
Rajani Subramanian, 37, failed a breathalyzer test police administered him, authorities said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Police rescued a woman early Friday morning after her car was stuck on the light rail tracks in nearby Weehawken.
Port Authority Police assigned to the Lincoln Tunnel found a car stopped on the tracks about 1,000 feet north of the Hudson River vent building on River Road at about 3 a.m., said Joseph Pentangelo, a Port Authority Police spokesman.
Police spoke with the driver, Rajani Subramanian, 37, of Edgewater and administered her an breathalyzer test, which she failed, Pentangelo said.

The vehicle was removed from the tracks, Subramanian was arrested and the car was impounded, Pentangelo said. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
NJ Transit inspected the tracks and they were deemed safe.
