The Fort Lee Police Department's Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 245 is once again asking for the public's assistance as the organization has begun its annual "Holiday Season Toy Drive."

Each year, the PBA collects toys donated by residents and distributes them —dressed as Santa Claus and other characters — to children in pediatric units at local Bergen County hospitals, churches, a battered women’s shelter, Marines Toys for Tots, and to local children in need of a little holiday cheer. There is a bin for NEW AND UNWRAPPED toys located in the lobby of the Fort Lee Police Dept (1327 16th Street), and for residents of some of the larger buildings in town, in the lobbies of Mediterranean Towers North, Mediterranean Towers South, Northbridge, The Colony, all six Horizon House buildings and both towers of The Modern.

If there is someone who has a larger donation, please email Chris Richter at Crichter@fortleepolice.org and he will arrange a pick-up.

The deadline for donation is December 17 but they can always find homes for those gifts that come in afterwards.

As always, thank you for your support of the PBA, the Toy Drive and most importantly, the kids in need. Happy Holidays!
