UPDATE: All Lanes On GWB Reopened Following Fuel Spill, Police Say

All upper level lanes were closed for about an hour Tuesday afternoon.

All lanes on the George Washington Bridge’s upper level heading into New Jersey have been reopened.

The lanes were closed for about an hour following a jackknifed tractor-trailer and a fuel spill, Port Authority Police said.

The incident occurred at 12:15 p.m., police said The tractor-trailer was on the upper level of the bridge heading into New Jersey. No one was injured, but the driver was evaluated.

All upper level lanes were blocked until shortly after 1 p.m. Traffic was diverted to the local lanes on southbound Interstate 95.
