Student A National Winner of Fort Lee Mathnasium's Annual TriMathlon

Daniel Gilman Awarded 1st Runner Up in the Grade 4 Grand Prize Competition; wins scholarship!

FORT LEE, November 30, 2016 – Daniel Gilman, a 4th grade student at Primoris Academy, has won 1st runner up for his grade level in Mathnasium’s Annual TriMathlon math competition.

Gilman placed first among all 4th graders in Mathnasium of Fort Lee’s local TriMathlon to qualify for the national competition. He, along with all TriMathlon contestants across the country, raised a total of $35,000 for community schools for participating in the event.

“The Mathnasium of Fort Lee team is very proud of Daniel for claiming 1st runner up in the Grand Prize TriMathlon after winning our local competition. A top finish was quite a challenge, as Daniel was up against top scorers in his grade level across Mathnasium centers nationwide. He was recognized with a plaque and a Mathnasium scholarship for his exceptional mathematical ability and diligent effort.” said Ruby Yao, owner and director of Mathnasium of Fort Lee.

“Perfect scorers who ranked in the top 2% against their competitors in community TriMathlon contests went on to compete in the National Grand Prize TriMathlon,” noted Mathnasium co-founder and Chief Instructional Officer Larry Martinek. “To win a Grand Prize, students had to demonstrate strong mathematical thinking, creativity, and ingenuity.
